Well, hi! My name is Lexi and I’m a want-to-be chef, wellness enthusiast, health coach and registered nurse from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am on a mission to make this world a better place using food as medicine and by helping to change the view on wellness from a static, purchased commodity into a life-long, multifaceted journey. As a nurse, I work part-time in both behavioral health and at a private nursing care management company with older adult clients who hold a very, special place in my heart. Aside from nursing I have always loved to cook and I’ve had a passion for wellness as long as I can remember. Something inside of me has always wanted to do more with what I’ve learned in nursing school- to help people feel better and prevent chronic disease through nutrition, movement and habit change. I started my blog and Instagram page Better With Lexi to focus on serving wellness from the inside out through real, whole food recipes, health tips, education, and more. I think we over-complicate wellness and underestimate the power of simple tools and daily habits. I want to change the notion that we need a pill to fix everything. There’s a time and a place where that’s appropriate- but for the vast majority of disease and daily ailments, getting back to the basics solves a lot of our problems. I am by no means perfect but determined to show up authentically with the intention of sharing my experiences and education as a way to build a community around finding out what makes us feel and live better lives.

Whether you’re here for health coaching, to embrace the power of self-healing or just looking for fresh recipes and cooking inspiration, you’re in the right place. Let’s get better, together!
With Love,
